GroupWise 7 Outlook Connector

The GroupWise Connector for Microsoft Outlook allows you to use Outlook to access your email, calendar, and other collaboration data that is stored in a GroupWise database. The Connector is provided as an alternative for individuals with a preference for Outlook as an email client. Academic Computing continues to recommend the native GroupWise client or GroupWise Web Mail as the primary means of accessing the GroupWise system. Please note that although the Outlook Connector will support the primary features of GroupWise, not all features can be supported, either because of fundamental design differences or Outlook limitations. Please review the documentation we reference below to see if any of these are significant for you.

We strongly advise that only individuals with significant prior Outlook experience implement the Connector at this time. The Connector is a stable product, and we have confirmed its operation with our system and are actively testing it now, but we do not at this time have sufficient experience to provide full support. It is our intention to do so in the near future. Support will be limited to Microsoft Outlook 2003 and later versions. Outlook Express will not be supported.

We also recommend that you go to the Novell GroupWise 7 documentation web site at http://www.novell.com/documentation/gw7 and review both the "GroupWise Connector for Microsoft Outlook Quick Start" and "GroupWise Connector for Microsoft Outlook Readme" documents which can be found in the "GroupWise Clients" section.
