How do I get my PDA/Cell phone to link with my GroupWise email account with my phone cellular service?

GroupWise users that have PDA/cell phone and a data plan (required) can now obtain timely updates with their emails, contact list, calendar, etc. with their cellular phone provider. First, you must have the PDA software installed onto your PC (usually comes on a CD with your PDA/cell phone). Once completed, perform the following;

• Open your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox etc.)
• Go to "http://gwmobility.usouthal.edu/genweb" (without "www.")
• Login to Intellisync Mobility Suite using your GroupWise email account with your username (without " usouthal.edu") and password.
• Fill in the information into the following form and select Next (at top left);

• Based upon your PDA device and the Operating System (OS) select the appropriate radio button and then select Next;
• On the following screen (Install Software) select Install to PC. This process requires the PDA software to be currently running on your PC for completion. (For additional information on the PDA software, refer to your manual.)
• Attach your PDA device to your computer.
• Now select Install Software.
• You will be prompted to Save or Run this file so select Run. You may be prompted with an Unknown Publisher message, just select Run
• Select Install on the following screen which installs the software from Intellisync onto your PC and prepare it to download onto your PDA device. After this process is completed, exit the Install screen and then select Next;
• On the Intellisync Mobility Suite screen, select Done.

Now, press the Palm HotSync button (on your device cable) or the Sync Icon on your Desktop to complete the software download to your PDA. (For addition information on the PDA/cell phone, refer to your manual.) Be patient, this process may take a few minutes. You may be prompted to reset your PDA or it may reset automatically. When your PDA comes back up, you should see the Intellisync icon on your PDA.

Once the Intellisync Mobility Suite is installed on your PDA, Select the Intellisync icon then select the Sync icon to perform the first synchronization. Follow the prompts on your PDA to complete this process.

Select the Intellisync icon on your PDA, then select the Setting icon to configure additional features.

NOTE:The Push setting allows you to send and receive your updates without performing a Sync to your PDA while Sync updates everything at once.

From the Intellisync Mobility Suite window on your desktop, select the Settings tab (on the left) and the following screen should appear.

From this page you should only make changes to the three circled areas. These are already configured but they can be modify. To avoid potential problems, please don't modify the other areas.
